TRACEABILITY

Oritain logo

Panda Biotech has officially partnered with the traceability company, Oritain, to develop the world’s first scientifically traceable hemp fiber — from field to garment — for the global textile industry. The partnership will allow Panda Biotech to assure their brand partners and the consumer that 100% of their hemp fiber is authentic U.S. hemp grown by American farmers. Consumers will be able to know exactly where their hemp was grown.

Oritain is a world leader in using forensic science to trace the origin of products.

The Panda Texas Plains Hemp Gins are anticipated to be the largest, most technologically advanced, first-of-its-kind decorticators ever used to separate the fiber and cellulose from the stalk. Smaller versions of this proven decortication technology have been used for decades in Asia and Europe. To ensure the highest quality fiber, Panda Biotech will only process hemp stalks that are harvested prior to the maturation of the seed and flower, which are the parts of the plant used in CBD products.

More than 130,000 tons of Texas-grown industrial hemp per year are expected to be processed into high-quality, textile grade fiber & premium cellulose. Panda Biotech’s agronomists will supervise the planting and harvesting of the seed to ensure the most consistent, high quality feedstock.
